Total Shade Solar is rolling out a new window treatment designed to capture solar energy. The system replaces standard office shades with material capable of generating electricity, turning vertical glass surfaces into functional power assets.

The product maintains traditional benefits like glare reduction and temperature management while adding a generation layer. By utilizing existing window space, commercial properties can contribute to their own energy needs without requiring additional footprint.

Each standard window unit is projected to produce between 450 and 500 watts of power. The company intends to integrate this technology into broader building energy strategies rather than replacing primary utility connections.
