This initiative seeks to identify specific genes common across multiple wireworm species. By targeting these survival mechanisms, the company plans to create a single product that can address diverse pest populations in North America and Europe.
Agricultural sectors are increasingly moving away from synthetic chemical pesticides in favor of biological alternatives that offer higher precision. RNAi technology represents a shift toward genetic-based pest management, which targets specific biological pathways without affecting non-pest species or the surrounding ecosystem.
