Done, a Swiss-based provider of logistics and supply chain financing, has officially launched operations in Türkiye. The firm, which specializes in facilitating trade for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), named industry veteran Filiz Ünal as the CEO of its new Turkish division.
The expansion marks the company's fourth international market, adding to its existing presence in Switzerland, Poland, and Ukraine. Done aims to address the significant credit gap faced by Turkish importers who often struggle to secure traditional bank financing for their inventory needs.
The company operates by purchasing goods directly from global manufacturers on behalf of its clients. These goods are held in insured warehouses and released only after payment, a model designed to mitigate risk while providing importers with flexible inventory management.
The move into Türkiye highlights the growing demand for alternative trade finance in emerging markets. Many SMEs in the region are currently underserved by traditional collateral-based lending, despite high import volumes and active participation in global supply chains.
This shift reflects a broader global trend where non-bank financial entities are stepping in to bridge the multi-trillion dollar trade finance gap. By integrating logistics with financing, companies like Done are providing liquidity to businesses that fail to meet strict conventional banking criteria.
