Berger and Green, in collaboration with 22 The Point, has honored Uniontown senior Hannah Foster as the 2026 Scholar Athlete of the Year. The recognition came as a surprise announcement at Uniontown High School, attended by her family, teammates, and school officials.
The award includes a $5,000 scholarship, acknowledging Foster's exceptional achievements across athletics, academics, and community service.
Academically, Foster maintains a 4.72 GPA and is a member of the National Honor Society. In sports, she is a PIAA qualifier in swimming and cross country, a four-time WPIAL swimming qualifier, and holds a school record in the 100m breaststroke.
Her community engagement includes volunteering with the American Red Cross Blood Drive, The Salvation Army, and serving as a guide skier for the Deep Creek Lions Club Blind Skier Program.
Programs celebrating student-athletes like Hannah Foster highlight a growing trend among businesses to invest in local communities and foster future leadership. By recognizing individuals who excel across multiple disciplines—academics, sports, and civic engagement—companies demonstrate a commitment beyond their core services.
These initiatives not only provide financial support and encouragement to deserving students but also promote the values of dedication, perseverance, and community involvement that are vital for societal development. Such corporate sponsorships underscore the importance of well-rounded achievement and inspire other young people to pursue excellence in all aspects of their lives.
